Jin Ping Mei, full name is Jin Ping Mei from dialogue (The story has interspersed poetry about Kim Binh Mai); is a series of 100-act Chinese novels. It is "the first feature-length series where the plot is purely an individual';s creative fiction". Before that, the stories were all based more or less on historical books or folk tales, and were all amalgamation of the efforts of many people. The name of the story is made by the names of three female characters, Phan Kim Lien, Ly Binh Nhi and Bang Xuan Mai. According to some literary researchers, the author is an unknown person from Shandong, whose pseudonym is Tieu Tieu Sinh (meaning "Laughing Teacher").
